CommSecIRESS support - The browser appears blank or displays the error "Java Not Installed"
This error is caused by your browser not having the Java system component installed or it being incorrectly installed.
You will need to either install or reinstall Java by downloading the latest version from www.java.com. After you have successfully installed the Java software, please ensure it is enabled in your browser according to the instructions below.
- Click on the Tools menu tab and select Internet Options
- Click Advanced tab
- Ensure that the Java (sun) checkbox is enabled
- Restart Internet Explorer
If the problem still persists, there may be an issue with the Java software which will need a clean install.
- Click on the Start Menu and go to Control Panel.
- Open Add/Remove Programs.
- Any Programs that begin with Java, Java 2 or J2SE will need to be uninstalled from the computer. Select these programs individually and then click on uninstall on each program.
- Once all Java applications have been removed from the computer, go to www.java.com and download the latest version of Java.
- Click on the Start Menu and go to Control Panel.
- Click on Programs and Features.
- Any Programs that begin with Java, Java 2 or J2SE will need to be uninstalled from the computer. Select these programs individually and then click on uninstall on each program.
- Once all Java applications have been removed from the computer, go to www.java.com and download the latest version of Java.
