Yes, you can refinance a margin loan held with another provider.

  • If you do not already have a CommSec Margin Loan, you need to complete a Margin Loan Application. During the application process, you will be prompted under the 'Refinancing Details' to attach your most recent margin loan statement.
  • If you already have a CommSec Margin Loan you will need to fill in a refinance form, which you can download here and return to CommSec as per the details on the form.

You will need to provide a copy of your current margin loan statement in both instances. Please ensure that your CommSec Margin Loan has a sufficient credit limit to enable the refinance. You may find that lending values for our approved securities list differs from your existing lender, so please confirm your options with us by calling 13 17 09, 8am to 6pm (Sydney time), Monday to Friday.
