What system specifications are required to run CommSecIRESS on an Apple Mac?

To use CommSecIRESS on an Apple Mac, the following are required:

  • Mac OS X 10.7.3 or later
  • Oracle Java Update 15 or later
  • A 64 bit web browser such as Apple Safari or Mozilla Firefox
  • Please note, Google Chrome is not compatible with CommSecIRESS as this is a 32 bit browser

To view what current version of Java your Apple Mac is on:

  1. Click on Apple icon in the top left hand corner
  2. Click on System Preferences icon
  3. Click on the Java icon to access the Java Control Panel which will list your Java version
  4. If you do not see a Java icon under System Preferences, Java 7 and above is not installed.

To download the latest version of Java, please go to: www.java.com
