I’m not sure where my shares are currently held
To determine where your shares are currently held, please locate your most recent share statement, which could be in the form of a physical letter received in the mail, or over email. Your statement will look something like this:
If your statement say ‘HIN’ or ‘CHESS holding statement’ on the top right corner, this means your shares are held with a broker. If your statement says ‘SRN’ on the top right corner, your shares are held with the share registry.
Now that you know where your shares are held, please restart the decision tree to find out which share transfer is right for you.

SRN stands for Securityholder Reference Number. An SRN is used to identify the owner of shares that are held by a share registry (i.e. the shares are issuer sponsored).
